The ISE® Overtime & Extra Duty Module manages these important functions by integrating the allocation process directly into the working schedule. Employees are ordered according to configurable organizational business rules, such as putting employees with less overtime and more seniority ahead of those with more overtime and less seniority. In addition, overtime and extra duty shifts can be posted online for staff bidding, allowing an easy way for supervisors to handle filling voluntary overtime assignments and extra duty shifts without the hassle of posting and collecting bid information manually.
Real Management Capability
Managing the allocation process involves two critical elements: determining the fair order in which to assign an employee to work the extra time, and maintaining a detailed record of each employee’s turn at accepting or refusing an allocation offer. ISE® incorporates these elements with a design that provides ease-of-use, highly configurable rules and historical tracking of assignment offers for auditing purposes.
Unlimited Paperless Allocation Lists
You can create and maintain an unlimited number of allocation lists with employees being able to participate in any or all lists. Each list specifies whether the employee’s acceptance of an overtime or extra duty offer is voluntary or mandatory, and computes the agency-specific business rules that govern assignment order. This means that no extra paperwork is required to keep the lists accurate and timely- supervisors will always be able to see who’s next in line.
Employee Self-Service Sign-Up
Employees can now bid for posted extra duty or overtime assignments through their own Employee Self-Serve portals. From these portals, staff can also input work availability preferences based on times they prefer to be considered for extra duty or overtime, and times they prefer not to be considered. All this information is routed in real-time back to ISE® and is automatically processed for supervisor assignment, eliminating the need for paperwork and administration overhead.
Ease of Administration
Some of the great administration features include the ability to adjust the employee’s tracked work history for corrections, as well as having multiple reports available to perform detailed historical analysis of employee declines and turn processing.
